Local water engineers

We provide water engineering services for property and infrastructure projects in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Gippsland and Albury / Wodonga.

With our experienced and technically diverse team of water engineers, we provide tailored solutions across all phases of the project lifecycle from feasibility, strategy, design and all the way to construction. Our experience over this lifecycle enables us to deliver practical solutions that also enrich community spaces and environments.

We are different because of our deep expertise across the project life cycle from feasibility to construction, driving creative and innovative solutions. Our strong industry connections and focus on community outcomes further set us apart.

Who we are

We are creative thinkers

Complex problems require creative thinking. As experienced consultants we have the depth of knowledge to develop creative solutions in response to project opportunities. This approach considers the whole water cycle and enables us to deliver sustainable, smart and resilient project outcomes. Our experience, gained over almost 20 years, also allows us to create ‘on the ground’ practical solutions that achieve client, community and environmental goals. We never shy away from complex challenges, instead we take these as opportunities to delve deep into our diverse technical expertise. This depth of knowledge also allows us to ‘challenge the norm’ and regularly present new project-based insights to industry.

We partner with our stakeholders

Our partnered approach to projects is a key part of how we work and the outcomes we achieve. We believe that stakeholder relationships are built on mutual trust and respect. Our team regularly partner with clients, authorities and complementary technical specialists. The trust we gain through partnering regularly enables us to the push the boundaries of design to provide benefits to all stakeholders, the community and the environment. We provide valuable insights and take our clients on a journey to help them to understand the full potential of a project. One example of this is the delivery of Water Sensitive Urban Design projects in collaboration with our Landscape Architecture team. This collaboration ensures outcomes that benefit both the community and the environment.

We work together

We bring together design champions in a collaborative process across all our disciplines allowing us to deliver holistic designs that unlock the full social, cultural, environmental, and economic potential of projects. By closely collaborating with our in-house landscape architects and urban designers, we create Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) solutions that effectively blend functionality, aesthetics, and ecological sustainability. Additionally, our partnership with the Visual Media team leverages cutting-edge digital technologies such as 3D laser scanning, terrain modelling, 3D renders, animations, fly-throughs, and augmented reality to enhance the design process and provide clients with interactive, insightful experiences of proposed designs. This comprehensive approach ensures that our clients benefit from innovative, well-rounded solutions that address all aspects of their projects.

We are connected to the industry

Our team are connected to the industry and are active members of Australian Water Association (AWA), Stormwater Australia and Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA). We believe that this connection is integral to delivering forward-thinking, innovative outcomes for our clients. In addition, our team have long-standing relationships with local Councils and relevant authorities.

Water engineering services

Urban stormwater

Our Urban Stormwater services are designed to manage and optimise stormwater within urban environments. Our strategic services include feasibility and StormWater Management Strategies (SWMS), Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD), detailed drainage design, sediment basin and wetland design, raingarden and bioretention system design, retarding basin design and stormwater harvesting design.

We also handle construction supervision, asset management, and rectification to ensure the longevity and functionality of stormwater infrastructure. Our approach considers careful consideration of climate change resilience, sustainability and maximised community benefit.

Flood management

We take a strategic approach to flood management planning and flood modelling. We produce flood modelling reports, reviews, risk assessments and a full suite of flood mapping. This looks to the long–term sustainable management of flooding and climate change resilience for people, property, infrastructure planning and the environment. We also routinely conduct ANCOLD assessments as part of our design suite.

Integrated water management

Integrated Water Management (IWM) is a holistic approach that balances the needs of urban, environmental, and economic systems to optimise water use and sustainability. Our services include developing strategic frameworks for holistic water resource management, incorporating Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) principles, and coordinating across various sectors to ensure efficient and resilient water solutions. This includes managing stormwater, integrating ecosystem and biodiversity considerations, and implementing adaptive strategies to address changing conditions and future challenges.

Construction consultancy services

Our contract administration specialists ensure quality assurance, design integrity and effective design processes that account for buildability. Stormwater assets require careful attention to levels and aesthetics. We ensure thorough oversight to maintain design intent throughout the construction process. We provide comprehensive contract administration services including overseeing construction to ensure compliance with documentation, preparation of change orders, resolution of site and design issues, and RFI reviews.
