Location

Tarneit, VIC

The development of Verdant Hill in Tarneit is expected to contain around 1400 residential dwellings in over five neighbourhoods. We are working closely with contractors Winslow Construction in order to accomplish successful outcomes for all stakeholders.

Our Civil Engineering team have provided a major road upgrade of Dohertys Road which included a 60m span bridge over Dry Creek which provides access to the 260 lots in neighbourhood 3.

Our engineers took into account the placement of an existing major Melbourne Water potable drinking main when designing bridge placement over the creek. The team also worked closely with Melbourne Water to ensure that the existing Dry Creek levels were not detrimentally impacted by the construction of the new bridge which reviewed and approved by the Wyndham City Council.

The successful delivery of the Dohertys Road upgrade, which also includes an intersection into the Verdant Hill estate, has significantly improved the road network in the Tarneit area, transforming an unsealed road into an arterial road inclusive of kerb, channel and guardrails. Existing conditions such as overhead powerlines required additional design including grading the road under the powerlines. This paved road is designed to service the increased road-use for the next 20 years.

Our Water Engineering team have delivered a sediment basin required for the stormwater treatment of the of the development. The team are also undertaking the detailed design of a 3.26ha wetland that will provide a significant feature to the estate and plenty of open space and walking paths for the residents.

Verdant Hill is due for completion in 2026 and is a significant addition to Melbourne’s thriving western growth corridor.
