We are working to deliver this significant masterplanned community which will include a major town centre, Jacksons Creek reserve, parks, schools, childcare, community amenities and the residents only ‘Club Redstone’.

Spiire was engaged by Villawood Properties to provide civil engineering, surveying and water engineering services for the 2,000 lot development in Sunbury, Victoria.

Our Civil Engineering team are delivering the detailed design and construction consultancy services, working closely with contractors Winslow Construction, for all civil infrastructure to support this project. This includes two major intersections (one signalised) to Sunbury Road, 4km of external watermain along with an external sewer pump station and rising main.

Our water engineers are undertaking the functional detailed design and construction management of two wetland systems which include four sediment basins, three macrophyte wetland cells (and associated trunk drainage) and two regional retarding basins. The team have worked closely with Melbourne Water to design the wetland to accommodate for a new scheme in which stormwater must harvested for potable supply.

Our Surveying and Spatial team were engaged to provide a feature and level survey, asset recording and periodic drone flights to record construction progress. The survey team, in collaboration with our visual media team have created enhanced 360 panoramic updates (example below).

Our team have faced some challenges throughout the project. In the absence of a designated drainage outfall across two drainage catchments, this has required the use of temporary assets whilst the team undertook negotiations with downstream landowners and water authorities (Western Water and Melbourne water). The absence of external assets on the site has also required services being brought to the development from Sunbury (some 4km away).
