Leigh is a qualified and experienced civil engineer who joined Spiire in 2006. His major field of expertise is in Integrated Water Management which includes strategic planning, flood mitigation design, stormwater harvesting, water and sewer planning, water sensitive urban design, urban drainage, waterway and erosion management.

Leigh has acted as an expert witness for many clients in VCAT and planning panel hearings whilst he has also lead the design and construction management of one of Australia’s largest Integrated water solutions at Melbourne Airport.

His core market experience is in the property sector where he has lead exemplar outcomes from a water perspective such as Woodlea in Rockbank North. He has fond memories through his involvement in the industry led international study tour ‘Water Sensitive Cities 09’, which enabled him to bring international learnings whilst improving his leadership skills.

He strives to inspire others to ensure innovation continues in the market sectors he works in, whilst ensuring our clients get practical yet inspiring outcomes via a collaborative working environment.
