Ripley, QLD

Spiire has been engaged by SIG Group to provide civil engineering, water engineering and construction consultancy services for the 650-lot Amory at Ripley development.

This new community is located in the Ripley Valley Priority Development Area, a substantial urban growth zone on the south-east boundary of Ipswich. The Ripley Valley development area spans 4680ha in a key growth corridor in the greater Brisbane region.

Our local Queensland team has worked with SIG Group since their acquisition of the Amory site, which is close to the established Ripley Town Centre and the land earmarked for the town centre’s proposed future expansion. Our project team is integrating the estate’s designs with significant developments planned throughout the surrounding area, such as the growing town centre precinct and the future rail corridor.

We are delivering the detailed design for the estate’s 13 stages, including the servicing and a package of civil and water assets to support Amory’s future residents.

The scope includes the internal road network, upgrades to boundary roads to the south and east of the development, and the delivery of critical local infrastructure including the Ripley Loop Road. Two new signalised intersections on Ripley Road will provide connectivity leading into the estate, while new turning lanes on Centenary Highway will be designed to increase capacity and reduce congestion leading into the Ripley area in the future.

Our Water Engineering team is working on the development of multiple stormwater assets including waterways and seven bioretention basins. The team is also designing a temporary bund to mitigate against flooding impact on downstream properties.

With civil works now underway, local construction consultancy professionals based in our Brisbane office are working closely with the contractors on site in the delivery of our team’s designs. We look forward to seeing the civil assets to support this new community take shape.
